Family Service Agency, a not-for-profit organization, began in 1942 with United Fund Support. Their original purpose was to help meet the welfare needs of families and individuals in the City of Little Rock. This was accomplished through the provision of individual, marriage and environmental counseling services, emergency financial assistance, funds to purchase milk, and foster home care for children.

Today, our services are offered in several general areas including counseling, credit counseling, budgeting, educational programs, and prevention services. Most services are offered on a sliding fee basis according to family income, and we strive to preserve your confidentiality.

Specific programs include Domestic Violence Outreach and Intervention, Family and Couples Counseling, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Homebuyer Education Classes, Alcohol Safety Education, Crime Victim Assistance, Budget Counseling, Prevention Services, and Substance Abuse Treatment.

We also maintain a comprehensive Rape Prevention Program to prevent the rise of date rape and dating violence, a Sexual Assault Center providing crisis intervention, counseling and referrals, and DARE To Be You, a pre-school skill building program for children and families.
